    I would like to add the point that while teaching mands with someone who is still growing their verbal skills, we should teach using as few words as possible. for instance instead of, "I want the ball" I would just teach "ball." This makes the behavior less effortful and encourages that behavior over a more challenging behavior.

    When you have to give somebody not the best news on social media or like an email you know like constructive criticism or saying that you have to cancel an order on FIVERR....make an error...in your message to them..... like "sorry i purchased the product through another vendor" becomes... "sorry I purchased the product frough another vendor" They will think you just made a mistake but "frough" is how little kids say it so it's really tactful! or make a little guy said it... then it's all cute and happy 😮' I'm sorry sir I purchased the product through another vendor Make sure to add the apostrophe right after the emoji so it looks like hes talking

    Look up narcissistic grooming...it's the exact same thing.... not good to condition narcissistic grooming because it can harm them in adult relationships in the future.. really think about it....

    Please don't use "maladaptive" behavior/s. It is VERY adaptive for the individual exhibiting said behavior. ;) As you said at approx 01:44, "Without a strong manding repertoire, we tend to see clients maladaptive behaviors increase as they find ways to gain access to items they want." You said it right there "... as they find ways to gain access to items they want." They adapted because they did not have the skill before they learned to mand.

    Are you a good person? Let’s check and see! Have you ever stolen? (Even if it’s something really small or not worth much) Have you ever lied? Or have you ever looked with lust ? Now, have you ever taken the Lords Name in vain? Have you ever hated someone?If you’ve ever done any of those things, you would be either a liar, a thief, an adulterer,(for looking with lust. See Matthew 5:28), a blasphemer(for taking Gods Name in vain), a murderer (for hating someone. See 1 John 3:15) or maybe even all of them. And that was only 5 of the Ten Commandments. Therefore Gods Standard Is Very High. The Bible Even Says That If We’ve Just Broken One Law We’re Guilty Of Breaking Them All. (James 2:10) So we have all sinned against God and therefore deserve death.(Romans 3:23 & 6:23)That’s why ~2000 years ago A Savior was sent; Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of The World And Then He rose 3 days later. Through His sacrifice He Paid The Fine for our sins, and made Atonement for the sins of the world. Now we can be made new by accepting The Gift of Salvation. In order to accept This Gift, we must first Repent. This is a change of mind about sin (from an embrace of sin to rejection of sin) and a Turning to God. Once you Repent, you can then turn to FAITH/TRUST in the Savior. A person who has truly Repented of their sin and has Trust in Christ will give evidence of a changed life. Therefore, as a Result of Salvation you’ll then produce Good Works and the Fruit of Salvation. (Reading the Word, Acts of Kindness, readiness to help, to serve, to give of oneself, The Fruits of the Spirit, etc.) You aren’t saved by doing Good Works, but you can then produce Good Works once you are Saved

    How is DTT used in a school setting? Is it only used while they're working at their desk?

    • @CornerstoneAutismCtr
      @CornerstoneAutismCtr 2 роки тому

      Great questions! This is something that you would have to follow up with your child’s teacher or school setting to see how they implement DTT in their specific environment. Each setting can do things slightly different; therefore, it would be best to reach out to them to ask specific questions on implementation within that environment.

    What are "independent play skills"? I have worked with many autistic kids, and they all knew how to play independently. Their play may not have looked "normal", but it was fun and enjoyable.
